Tropical
Sage is a very bright red flower that grows at the top of a 2 to
3 foot stalk. Each stem has a cluster of blossoms with a very long
stamen out of the middle. I have generally noticed these more in
the fall, but the field guide lists their season as March to December.
This one was taken along Bull Creek in northwest Austin in October
2000 on a dewey morning.
