The
Brown-eyed Susanis a very plentiful wildflower in Texas. It generally
pops up in pastures and along roadsides sometime shortly after
bluebonnet season like early May and blooms pretty continuously
until late-October or early-November. It's bright yellow clumps
brighten up the roadsides most of the summer. This one was photographed
in Austin on the side of Capital of Texas highway in late-April
2001.
