I made
a week long trip to the Smokies in the late October 2003 to shoot
the fall foliage. The timing was excellent--probably a day or
two past peak, but great nonetheless. I spent 3 of my days during
the
trip in the Smoky Mountain National Park.
This
is a mountain vista shot somewhere along Cumberland Gap Road
on an overcast drizzly day, which helps saturate the reds, yellows,
and oranges on the distant mountainside.
