Cumberland Gap, Smoky Mountains

During my October 2003 trip to the Smokies, I left Knoxville one morning about 2 hours before sunrise in order to get to Cumberland Gap before sunrise. On almost all of the drive there it was drizzling, foggy, and cold, but I kept going, hoping for something to happen. As I drove up the mountain I drove through the cloud cover. This shot was taken shortly after sunrise and you can definitely still see the fog and cloud cover in the valleys.
