Texas Rainbow Cactus
(Echinocereus dasyacanthus)
 
 
 

There were dozens of rainbows along Grapevine Hills road while I was in the park in April 2001. There were different colored blossoms, most were white with yellow centers, but this particular cactus had beautiful pink blossoms. It was a perfect overcast day for wildflower photography.
