This is a cute little duck that is very shy. I shot him at Honsby Bend east of Austin in March 2001. One of the holding ponds there was a favorite hangout for a small flock of ruddys during their winter migration. It took quite awhile for them to finally get close enough to take this shot using my truck as a blind.
