I went to Walter E. Long reservoir east of Austin to shoot songbirds. As I was driving in I saw this heron fishing on the shore. I was too far to shoot from the car, so I slowly walked closer and got off a few shots. As I tried to move a little closer to fill the frame, I violated his comfort zone and he flew off--glad I took the shots I did!
