Male Drone Honeybee
Apis melifera

This was one of the first shots I took with my D200 after getting it this spring. I chased this drone bee around in a bunch of tabacco salvia that I have in back yard for about a half hour. He flitted from blossum to blossum very quickly and when he lit he was out of the light of in a bad angle. He finally stayed on this blossum long enough for me to get off a single shot.
