This is
another of my shots from my trip to Aransas NWR to take pictures
of shorebirds and waterfowl and hopefully to catch a glimpse
of
the whooping
cranes.
The
only
bird I saw to photograph all day was a gallinule, and I got a
few alligators and some javelina shots. This particular peccary
was part of a small group that was grazing along the roadside.
I stalked up fairly close (30 feet) and got this headshot with
a 500 mm lens.
