My love for nature began early. Active at a young age in boy scouts, I achieved the honor of Eagle Scout at thirteen. I loved the outdoor adventures best—hiking and camping. My love affair with nature and the outdoors continues today, some forty years later. I have always loved the beauty of nature. Watching animals play unpredictably, breathtaking scenic vistas, and the stark contast of the desert, the mountains and the ocean. And maybe best of all I love the edges of change—day and night, approaching weather, the season's change, and the ever changing light. It was not until recently that I became seriously interested in capturing nature through the lens. I have been a serious amateur photoprapher for many years. I shot mostly travel, sports,and candids. About a year ago I became serious about taking up nature photography to spend more time in the outdoors observing and capturing the beauty of nature on film. One thing I have quickly learned is that it is a lot easier to observe natures beauty than to capture the moment on film! This site represents some of my work. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I've enjoyed shooting the images and building the site. The site contains several subject galleries, I hope you can check them all out. |
